Elina Ruohonen // Algae portraits // installation – A tribute to a clean sea! Portraits of kelps are hung around Aurajoki as a commentary on issues of the Batic Sea and Finnish archipelago.Protection of the sea is the main focus of 1Elina Ruohonen´s photographs, printed on transparent, oval-shaped acrylic plates.Visual artist Elina Ruohonen works mostly with paintings and photographs. Her inspiration ranges from the personal to the universal, often relating to the conditions of the sea and archipelago.

Osana Olohuone 306,4 km2 projektia
Taideyhdistys Olohuone ry perustettiin Turussa syksyllä 2005 järjestämään kaupunkitaidefestivaalia Olohuone 306,4 km2. Vuosittain kesäkuussa taiteilijat tarjoavat tällä pinta-alalla kaikenkarvaista kaupunkitaidetta yllättävissä(kin) paikoissa. Teokset houkuttelevat ihmiset näkemään asuinympäristönsä uusin silmin ja osallistumaan yhteisen olohuoneen luomiseen. Tapahtuma toteutetaan valittujen taiteilijoiden sekä Olohuoneen jäsenten ja muiden vapaaehtoisten iloisella yhteistyöllä.
